Yo (Paloma) llevo dos días sin salir de casa, con un resfriado y acompañada de este show de la MTV: The City que podéis ver online aquí. La serie tiene como protagonista a Whitney Port, una californiana que llega a Nueva York para triunfar en el mundo de la moda. Junto con Olivia Palermo, la social-celebrity del momento nos muestran un Manhattan muy a lo Sexo en Nueva York. Eso sí, el argumento deja bastante que desear. Es una serie para cotillear los modelitos, los sitios más de moda y optar por una de las dos protagonistas: Olivia Palermo o Whitney Port.
Personalmente, me quedo con el estilo de Olivia, aunque no me gustaría mucho tenerla como amienemiga…. No es que Whitney vaya mal, pero creo que se atreve mucho menos y que el mero hecho de ser rubia, altísima y con tipazo no te convierte en una it-girl. Olivia es mucho más bajita y aunque está muy delgada para mi gusto, sabe sacarle mucho partido al estilo Upper East Side.

I (Paloma) have been sick two days at home with a cold. But I have been spending my time watching this MTV show: The City. The argument is about Whitney Port, a californian girl who arrives to Manhattan for work in the fashion industry. I think the main character is New York. The city is showed like in Sex and the city. But, to be honest, I don´t think the argument is as good as it. If you watch you are going to admire the outfits and you are going to decide between Olivia Palermo or Whitney Port.
I prefer the style of Olivia, but I wouldn´t like be her friend…. I am not saying that Whitney dress badly, but I think that is so typical. A blonde-girl, tall and slim. That not converts you into a it-girl. Olivia is less tall and, although she is too thin to me, she knows properly the Upper East Side Style.
