This year we have been a few days in New York fashion week, but they have been quite intense and busy. Always running from one place to another trying to get to the sites on time, avoiding traffic jams taking the subway, changing my look twice a day to go according to each event, few hours of sleep per day… but it was worth it because we enjoyed it so much and we love this big city!
The weather at the beginning of September in the big apple is unpredictable, one day it can be unbearably hot, with a high percentage of humidity, and the next day the temperatures drop drastically to the point of needing to warm up. I never remember this when packing, perhaps because my head is still in summer mode :P, and at the end there are always a couple of days that I’m cold and wish I had kept a coat and a pair of boots. Luckily, at least this year, I packed my favorite pair of jeans that saved me more than a day of not being cold even when I was wearing a summery top. The look that I show you today is an example of this and a perfect option for mid-season days that I hope inspire you for this month. I’m wearing extra long wide jeans, a long sleeve crochet top, transparent sandals and my new AKRIS Alexa tote bag in Scarlet which I can’t be more delighted about, it’s the perfect accessory for my daily and airport looks, which are not few, it has a large capacity and a simple and beautiful design that elevates any look. Este año hemos estado pocos días en la semana de la moda de Nueva York pero han sido bastante intensos y ajetreados. Siempre corriendo de un lado para otro intentando llegar en hora a los sitios, evitando los atascos cogiendo el metro, cambiándome de look dos veces al día para ir acorde a cada evento, pocas horas de sueño al día… pero ha merecido la pena porque lo hemos disfrutado mucho.
El tiempo a principios de septiembre en la gran manzana es imprevisible, un día puede hacer un calor insoportable, con un alto porcentaje de humedad, y al día siguiente bajar las temperaturas de forma drástica hasta el punto de necesitar abrigarse. Nunca me acuerdo de esto al hacer la maleta, quizás porque mi cabeza aún esta en modo verano :P, y al final siempre hay un par de días que paso frío y desearía haber guardado un abrigo de entretiempo y un par de botas. Menos mal que por lo menos este año llevaba conmigo mi par de vaqueros favoritos que me han salvado más de un día de no tener frío en las piernas aunque por arriba fuera un poco más desabrigada. El look que os enseño hoy es ejemplo de ello y una opción perfecta para los días de entretiempo que seguro que os sirve de inspiración para este mes. Llevo vaqueros anchos extra largos, top de crochet de manga larga, sandalias transparentes y mi nuevo bolso tote en color rojo de AKRIS con el que no puedo estar más encantada, es el accesorio perfecto para mis looks de diario y de aeropuerto, que no son pocos :P, tiene una gran capacidad y un diseño sencillo y bonito que eleva cualquier look. Sin duda es un bolso de lo más versátil que no pasa desapercibido.
