A two-day getaway to Austin, TX with my love Dieguini to attend SXSW, the city’s music festival that attracts more and more people from all over the world every year. It was not our first time Austin, we went a few years ago when we made the road trip from Los Angeles to Miami, we loved it then, it’s a young city full of life, but perhaps this time it have conquered more for the festival atmosphere and the amount of concerts that were in all corners.

I love these short breaks because I carry in the suitcase only necessary, with the looks thought in advance, without needing to carry those “just in case” that occupy so much in the suitcase and that at the end we almost never end up wearing during the trip. For this trip I chose to wear two dresses very different from each other but with a characteristic in common, the white color. The first one is  a maxi lace dress that I bought in Zara last summer, although I think they have now a similar one, it seemed the perfect one to go to Texas paired with Isabel Marant cowboy boots and a vintage suede jacket that I borrowed from Diego’s closet. The second one a sequined dress from this season,  I love these types of dresses to wear during the day combined with sneakers, this mix makes the sequins magically become a casual option and the ideal choice to attend a music festival. Which is your favorite look?

We stayed at Austin Motel and I really recommend it, it’s basic but charming and it’s very well located in an area full of vintage stores and restaurants. I also share with you some recommendations for restaurants just in case you are planning to visit this city, just check at the end of the post.

Una escapada de dos días a Austin, TX con mi inseparable Dieguini para asistir a SXSW, el festival de música de la ciudad que cada año atrae a más a gente de todo el mundo. No era nuestra primera vez Austin, ya estuvimos hace unos años cuando hicimos el viaje por carretera desde Los Angeles hasta Miami, ya en su día nos encantó, es una ciudad joven llena de vida, pero quizás esta vez nos haya conquistado un poquito más por el ambiente que se respiraba debido al festival y la cantidad de conciertos que había en todos los rincones.

Me encantan estas escapadas tan cortitas porque llevo en la maleta solo necesario, con los looks muy bien pensados sin necesidad de llevar esos “por si acaso” que tanto ocupan en la maleta y que al final casi nunca terminamos llevando durante el viaje. En esta ocasión me decanté por llevar dos vestidos muy diferentes entre sí pero con una característica en común, el color blanco. El primero lo compré el verano pasado en Zara, aunque creo que ahora también tienen algún modelo parecido, es largo de encaje blanco y con mucho vuelo, me pareció perfecto para ir a Texas combinado con botas cowboy de Isabel Marant y una chaqueta de ante vintage que cogí prestada del armario de Diego. El segundo es de esta temporada, de lentejuelas, semi largo y con apertura lateral, me encantan este tipo de vestidos para llevarlos durante el día combinados con zapatillas, este mix hace que las lentejuelas se conviertan por arte de magia en una opción mucho más casual y la ideal para un festival de música. ¿Qué look os gusta más?

Nos alojamos en Austin Motel y la verdad es que os lo recomiendo totalmente, es básico pero con mucho encanto y está muy bien situado en una zona llena de restaurantes y tiendas vintage. This cactus has become one of my favorites in Los Angeles that’s why I chose it to be my co-star in the photos… I don’t believe it’s going to be the only time you see it in my pics, I love even the house and also this area of ​​Silver Lake is so beautiful that at the end we always decided to take pictures here instead of going somewhere else.

You loved this outfit when I showed to you on Instagram so here you have in more detail. A ruffled denim dress paired with suede wedges that have been on my close for a couple of season and I don’t get tired of them, they match with all my summery looks! Do you like the look?

I know that I always tell you the same thing, that I have the blog a little abandoned and that I want to do what I was doing before, I mean posting almost everyday, because I miss to do it, but now I really gonna do it!. It’s hard to go back to the routine when I’m almost every day doing things so I have to mark the blog as a priority and also try to do everything faster, sometimes I over think the things that I wanna do and take me forever finish them. Sometimes this is good but not always. So I wanna know your opinion, do you miss my daily post? do you want me to do any specific content? Can’t wait to hear your feedback.

Este cactus se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos de Los Angeles es por eso que lo elegí para que fuera co-protagonista conmigo en las fotos… no creo que vaya a ser la única vez que lo veáis, me encanta hasta la casa y además esta zona de Silver Lake es tan bonita que al final siempre decidimos hacer fotos por aquí en vez de irnos al ajetreado West Hollywood.

Este look os encantó cuando os lo enseñé en Instagram, vestido vaquero con volantes y cuñas de esparto que llevan en mi armario un par de temporadas y que no me canso de llevar todos los veranos… ¡combinan con todo!. ¿Qué os parece el look? 

Sé que siempre os digo lo mismo, que tengo el blog un poco abandonado y que quiero volver a hacer lo que hacía antes y postear por aquí casi a diario porque yo también lo echo de menos, pero esta vez va a ser como si fuera un propósito de año nuevo jeje. Es difícil volver a la rutina cuando estoy casi todos los días haciendo mil cosas pero tengo que marcar el blog como una prioridad y también intentar hacer todo más rápido, a veces le doy tantas vueltas a las cosas que tardo en acabarlas y eso puede ser bueno pero también malo. También me gustaría saber que es lo que más os gustaría volver a ver por el blog además de los looks diarios, que es lo que echáis más de menos… contadme y prometo estar más activa.
